SPSS and AMOS are now available to faculty and staff for teaching and learning and academic research only.

IBM® SPSS® Statistics is a powerful statistical software platform. It delivers a robust set of features that lets your organization extract actionable insights from its data.

IBM Usage Guidance:

"Licensee may only use the Program(s) listed below for teaching and non-commercial academic research...Non-commercial academic research means research ...where (i) the results of such research are not intended primarily for the benefit of a third party; (ii) such results are made available to anyone without restriction on use, copying or further distribution; and (iii) any copy of any such result is furnished for no more than the cost of hosting, reproduction, and shipping. Any other use including but not limited to university administration and operations is strictly prohibited under the terms....

With SPSS Statistics you can:

SPSS Statistics is available for Microsoft Windows and the Mac operating system.


Cost for this software is paid through the MSU IBM contract.

    Locate IBM - SPSS. 
  2. Click box next to I accept Software Terms of Use.
  3. Click the link for the applicable Operating System you are using.

  5. Software Authorization Key will be found in the Software Portal as a text file separate from the software downloads.

Students

In addition, the license allows for unlimited use of SPSS in all Student Public Computing Labs across all MSU campuses in Bozeman, Billings, Great Falls and Northern. To request SPSS for a Student Public Computing Lab, please submit a ticket to the Service Desk at [email protected].
