While these five domains are distinct aspects of people’s lives, we recognize that they are integrated in a fabric of human well-being. We hold central the belief that well-being applies to families, groups, individuals, organizations, and communities.

The Department of Health and Human Development is a group of dedicated faculty and staff whose interests, while diverse, center on one central theme: human beings. As you review our undergraduate and graduate programs, keep in mind that very important premise.  If your educational and professional interests are related to helping individuals:

• from early childhood through gifted performers and on to mature adults,
• by teaching, research, or service programs,
• in the public or private sectors,
