PhD Pathways for Tribal College Faculty
The amazing faculty at Montana’s Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) are not only committed to educating their students, but they are also conducting scholarship key to their community and engaging Tribal College students in novel research.
In a new partnership, Montana State University (MSU) is providing tuition waivers to TCU faculty who have a masters and are working towards completing their doctorate at MSU. The scholarship the faculty complete counts towards their tenure and promotion and their dissertation research.
The first two faculty/PhD scholars in this program are.
Rennie Winkelman , a faculty member in the Life Sciences Department at Salish Kootenai College. She is doing her PhD at MSU in Ecology and Environmental Science.
Kyle Roessler a faculty member in the Life Sciences Department at Salish Kootenai College. He is doing his PhD at MSU in Microbiology.
If you are a faculty member at a Montana TCU (or a faculty member at MSU who may know of a potential PhD student) and are interested in joining this program, please contact Craig Ogilvie, [email protected]
